Abstract (EN): The present paper addresses strengthening of masonry arches with FRP. The experimental results are reviewed and the numerical simulation of a selected case study is presented. Reasonable agreement with the experiments is found and the correct collapse mode of the arch could be found. The experience gained in the simulation calls for additional and carefully carried out deformation controlled tests.
