Abstract (EN): Zschokkella candia Kalatzis, Kokkari & Katharios, 2015 originally described from Sparisoma cretense (Linnaeus, 1758) is reported for the first time from the gallbladder of the Black scorpionfish Scorpaena porcus Linnaeus, 1758 from the Tunisian waters, The prevalence of infection is about 15,2%, The molecular analyses of the small subunit ribosomal RNA gene permit to obtain the most complete sequence of 1943 bp. In the present study, we report the description of the vegetative stage found freely floating in the bile of the gallbladder. Plasmodia are polysporic, variable in size and shape, measuring 65-90 mu m in width and 130-135 mu m in length and harboring about a hundred of spores, Histopathological observations showed a significant fibrosis of the conjunctive tissue and destruction of the gallbladder epithelial cells.
