Abstract (EN):
This article describes the diagnosis and clinical management of two maxillary first premolars with three root canals, in three independent roots. Attention is drawn to the radiographic interpretation in the detection of an extra root, which is a prerequisite for successful root canal treatment. It is important to be aware of the possibility of an extra root in maxillary premolars. Straight-on radiographs, as in maxillary molars, rather than angulated radiographs, may help to visualize the three root canals better.
