Abstract (EN): The purpose of this article is to contribute to the definition of the written polemic as a discursive dialogue form. Three discursive parameters will be analyzed: (i) the global structure of the polemic as a discursive form; (ii) the typical internal structure of polemic texts in verbal exchanges, identifying the base constituents; (iii) the underlying function of one of these constituents, specifically the discursive retake. If it can be proved that the polemic has a dialogue form in its structure and function, even though it occurs in an interactive framework without time or place, then the insertion of this type of text among studies of “interactional linguistics” is fundamental.
