Abstract (EN): This paper presents some experiments undertook on a footbridge in Portugal by LABEST, where the GNSS technology was applied as an alternative structural monitoring solution. The bridge deck is a slender stress-ribbon concrete slab, continuous over two spans, 30 m and 28 m, that embeds four prestressing tendons, taking a catenary shape over the two spans and with a circular curve over the intermediate support. The results of these experiments where then compared with a numerical model of this footbridge.
