Learning outcomes and competences
Approaching the student of Pharmaceutical Sciences to a first contact with the management language and business environment of drug sales activity and health products. Develop sensitivity to various aspects of management, marketing, leadership, microeconomic and macroeconomic frameworks.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Theoretical classes (2 hours/week; 13 weeks): theoretical presentations during which students are asked to intervene. Theoretical concepts are taught by resorting to examples and practical situations, often real in nature.
Practical classes (2 hour/week): resolution of practical cases and problems.
Preparation and presentation of works proposed with the aim of introducing matters provided for in the program.

Eligibility for exams
- Student attendance to the classes is mandatory. Those students whose attendance is lower than 2/3 of the classes effectively taught are considered as without attendance, as long as these classes represent more than 50% of the classes predicted.
- Student attendance to the classes is mandatory. Those students whose attendance is lower than 3/4 of the classes effectively taught are considered as without attendance, as long as these classes represent more than 50% of the classes predicted.
- Attendance to Theoretical classes is not compulsory.
Calculation formula of final grade
The result of the written exam.
Examinations or Special Assignments
There is a possibility of realization and presentation of proposed work that may increase that test results up to 10%.
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
- Students considered on the special regime, among other cases covered in the Law, are students who are parents of children less than 3 years of age, individuals under compulsory military service, associative leaders, high competition athletes, individuals that carry out effective functions predicted under Article 73 of Decree Law 448/79 of 13 November, ratified, with alterations, by Law number 19/80 of 16 July.
- The exams for the special regime students are carried out in accordance with that established in the applicable legislation for each specific situation.
Classification improvement
- The student has the right to request the repeat of the final and/or laboratorial exam tests to improve the mark in the resource period of the academic year in which he/she carried out those tests or in one of the normal or resource periods in the course of the two following academic years.
- The repeat of the tests to improve the mark can be undertaken only once per subject.
- The final subject classification will be the higher of those obtained in the two tests carried out.
- In the case of subjects which also carry out evaluation in the laboratorial teaching, the final classification will be that resulting from weighting the final exam mark with that which the student obtained when evaluated in the laboratorial teaching.
Observations
Previous requirements: knowledge acquired in the subjects of Public Health and Deontology and Pharmaceutical Legislation. Basic knowledge in management and accountancy are useful.
Teaching language: Portuguese and eventually Spanish and English.
