Abstract (EN):
The main features of the probabilistic model developed for the analysis of concrete structures are described. The procedure is based on, both, simulation techniques and response surface method, wherein variability of the material characteristics, geometric imperfections and loads are taking into account. The importance sampling concept is used to reduce the number of required samples for Monte Carlo simulations. First order reliability techniques are applied to define the importance zone of simulation. The structural response is given by a refined non-linear model based on the finite element techniques. Sensitivity analyses may be also performed to interpret the effects of parameter variability on the global structural behaviour. Applications to practical problems are illustrated. It is pointed out that for ultimate situations the response distributions may be non-gaussean but a mixture of different probabilistic laws.
