Objectives

Program

Basic animal tissue and organ histology. Cardiovascular system and its control. Gas exchange and gas transport in the blood and regulation of the respiratory system. Gastrointestinal tract: organization, secretions, motility, digestion and absorption. Organism functional states and their regulation. Kidney and body fluid and homeostasis. Reproduction and its endocrine control.

Eligibility for exams

Attendance of practical classes compulsory (absences allowed ≤ 25% of the programmed practical lessons). Students that have attendance of practical classes in the previous year can require exemption of attendance.
Are exempt of attendance students in legally defined special situations. 

Calculation formula of final grade

Final examination: theoretical part (14/20) + theoretical /pratical part (6/20). Students will be aproved if classification is equal or higher than 9.5 points.

Final Examen during the period legally established. Final Examen: Theoretical Part (14/20) + Theoretical-Practical Part (6/20). Approval with classification equal or higher than 9.5.

The assessment of the type  Final examination will be Presential in Normal and Recurso (resource) Examination Terms.

Students who are justifiably unable to take the face-to-face exam will be assessed in an alternative way (for example, oral exam), according to the recommendations of the Pedagogical Council.
