To provide theoretical and practical basis of human assisted reproduction to enable the student to start supervised laboratorial work.

Physiology of human reproduction: anatomy, histology (brief approach) and physiology (actions of hormones and  control of gametogenesis) of male and female reproductive systems; transport of sperm throughout female system,  fertilization and implantation. Overview of embryonic sexual differentiation.

Infertility and disorders of male and female reproductive systems. Biotecnology of human reproduction. Induction of ovulation Human seminology. Artifitial insemination. In vitro fertilization (IVF, ICSI). Techniques for embryo manipulation. Cryobiology of human reproduction. In vitro maturation of human gametes. Genetics of human reproduction. Preimplantation genetic diagnosis.
