Obtain general knowledge of photogrammetryc concepts, with emphasis on digital photogrammetry, and focused on cartography and geographical information.
The student should have the fundamental theoretical concepts, together with competences for carrying small projects of aerial triangulation, restitution and orthorectification.
1. Introduction to Photogrammetry
2. Geometry of aerial photography
3. Interior, relative and absolute orientation of a stereopair.
4. Aerial triangulation
5. Photogrammetric restitution
6. Orthorectification and mosaic composition
7. Automated processes in Photogrammetry
8. Study visits
Theoretical lectures presented using multimedia technologies, deductions in the blackboard and use of specific software.
In the practical lectures exercises of photogrmmetric calculations are carried on a spreadsheet or programming. A project of digital photogrammetry is carried on photogrammetric workstations (Intergraph SSK and Trimble Inpho). A project with images from a drone is carried with Agisoft Photoscan. At the end of the semester there is a study visit to the Portuguese Army Geographic Institute and to the company Munucipia, in Lisbon.
Type of assessment : Avaliação distribuída com exame final
Formula Evaluation:
Final classification = 50% report + 50% written exam.
Both classifications can't be less than 8 (in 20). Reports will be discussed (10 minutes per student).
