Acquire knowledge to empower the organization of exploration campaigns, using methods of geophysical and geochemical exploration, given their complementarity.
Be able to operate different exploration methods.
Stages of exploration. Recognition: Planning, Office of Research and Recognition of potential areas. Development: Selection of a target, working definition of margins and recycling of any previous mining projects. Interpolation methods for isoline. Geophysical Prospecting: Introduction to electrical methods: spontaneous potential, resistivity (Points, Profiles, Polls and 2D inversion), induced polarization, EM Introduction to seismic methods (seismic refraction and reflection in horizontal and inclined layers and its Applications) Brief Introduction Gravity and magnetic methods Prospecting Geochemistry. Analytical Results interpretation. Planning Techniques for recognition of the results and type of sampling.
The theoretical notions are presented in a "power point"which is available to students. In practical classes are applied in the theoretical concepts of classical cases or the application of actual research from teachers. This training is complemented with field visits to companies operating at present (Felmica, MedGold, Grupo Lagoa, etc.), where we can see the current projects.
