Objectives
This course mainly techniques-based is designed: to provide a thorough understanding of modern microscopy technique; to present strategies in basic molecular biology technologies that enable the study of living cells with fluorescent proteins; and to provide essential knowledge how to use antibody technology to localise proteins.
Learning outcomes and competences
Upon successful completion of the course students should demonstrate to understand the application of different types of microscopes in cell biology and to identify and know how to use the increasingly sophisticated techniques that allow the study of current biological problems such as membrane dynamics, protein transport and cell signaling.
