Objectives
Emphasize the importance of an efficient communication. Widespread knowledge of tools and resources for personal improvement of oral and written communication. Develop competency in tools for bibliographic search, text and graph edition, together with other elements of communication support.

Importance of Communication in Science. Principles of effective communication. Resources for improving the capacity of oral and written expression. Fundamental rules of style.
Scientific documents. Tools for the production of scientific text:main paradigms. Introduction to LaTeX. Structure of a document,writing equations, cross-references and citations.
Literature search. Automatic production of bibliographies.
Oral Presentations: golden rules
The structure of a scientific paper, examples. Preparation of oral presentation and written summary of a scientific theme.

Submission of abstract and oral presentation on time.
Calculation formula of final grade
It will be released a list of mini-projects. Up to datepre-determined students should submit a summary of themini-project chosen. In the days and hours scheduled, eachstudent will make a presentation of 10 minutes with 2 minutes forquestions, in public session. The completion of the summary andpresentation within the time required guarantee rating of 10values. The summary and the presentation will be graded on a rubric and may explain up to a maximum of 10 additional values.Students who do not present the summary or not make apresentation on time-frequency are excluded.

Classification improvement
The improvement is achieved through submission of written essay on the theme of oral presentation.
