Objectives

Learning experimental techniques in materials science.
Mastering technical analysis of the internal structure of materials.
Knowing methods for determining the distribution of atomic units and
molecular materials and their interaction.
Get advanced training in Materials Science

Program

Techniques for determining the elemental composition and chemical structure of phases and phase transitions, microstructural analysis, mechanical characterization, dielectric, electrical and magnetic. Infrared and Raman spectroscopies. Nuclear magnetic resonance. Optical techniques and electro-optics. Diffusion of neutrons. Studies with synchrotron radiation.

Teaching methods and learning activities

The techniques will be presented in lectures, being the practical classes used for, on the spot, to establishing contact with the operation of the technique and related problems with its implementation.
