Continual and advanced education of teachers of Physics and Chemistry is of utmost importance in our educational system, which is why the FC and, in particular, the Departments of Physics and Chemistry, have taken it on themselves to offer complementary scientific and paedagogical training of quality to teachers of these disciplines. This training enhances the skill set of educators in these key areas in order to create the best possible conditions for teachers to practise their profession, prepared to face the challenges presented by the new primary and secondary school curricula.
Admissions Requirements
- Applicants for the Master’s in Physics and Chemistry Education must hold first cycle degrees in physics or chemistry as well as a teaching qualification in one of the two areas.
- Also eligible are those university graduates described in paragraph a) to c) of item nº 1 of Article 17 of Decree-Law nº 74/2006 of 24 March or those who can meet the conditions spelt out in paragraph d) of item nº 1 of the same Article, provided they hold a physics or chemistry teaching qualification.
