The Biology degree provides theoretical and practical training (laboratory and field research) in the main areas of biology including biodiversity, human biology, ecology, evolution, physiology, genetics and microbiology; all areas are approached through a combination of traditional and modern methods originating in the fields of cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry and biotechnology.
Employment Prospects
This programme provides the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully enter a broad range of professions such as those concerning the environment, management of living resources, health, biotechnology, the food industry, plant and animal production and forensic analysis. The degree also guarantees adequate preparation for students interested in continuing their academic studies on a post-graduate level, whether nationally or internationally, which, in turn, will allow them to obtain a professional qualification or to begin a teaching or research career.
