Objectives
The Project subject will provide the student with basic information about experimental design and applicable statistical analysis, notions about writing scientific articles, theses and reports, and forms of oral presentation thereof. It also constitutes an opportunity for the student to demonstrate knowledge/understanding of the master's subjects. The student will prepare a research/internship proposal on a topic in the master's area. The written proposal must include a brief review of the literature, a description of the objectives, hypotheses to be tested, procedures to be used and expected results.
Learning outcomes and competences
The student should demonstrate capacity to integrate and synthesize pertinent bibliography (describing the state of the art in a particular subject) and to address questions deserving further research; to understand the possible methodologies and techniques available to deal with those questions; and to be aware of the expected results.

The context for each project is to be drawn from some topic within the areas of Aquatic Biological Resources. Each student is to develop his/her own project report, dealing with a literature survey and the writing of a research plan on the subject is planning to work in the second year.
