- Introduction to parasitology - Basic principles of Parasite Systematic, Ecology and Evolution - Basic principles of Pathilogy - General features, life cycles, pathological effects and public health/economic importance of parasite protists. Kinetoplasta and other flagellated protists; amoeboid protists; Apicomplexa and Ciliophora - General features, life cycles, pathological effects and public health/economic importance of parasite metazoa. Myxozoa, Monogenea, Trematoda, Cestoda, Nematoda, Nematomorpha, Acanthocephala and Arthropoda.

Eligibility for exams

Attendance of practical classes: presence in 75% of the programmed pratical classes

Calculation formula of final grade

Final examination: theoretical part (14/20) and theoretical-practical part (6/20).

The final examination to be done during the normal period of exams can be substituted by 2 evaluations (each one consisting of a theoretical part - 14/20 and a theorical-pratical part -6/20, being the final classification the mean of the two evaluations).

The students with a classification ≥ 9.5 will be approved.

No oral examination will take place.
