Objectives:

Advanced knowledge in the area of Systems and Linear Control. The discipline provides for computational simulation of systems using CAD tools, namely MATLAB.

State model of linear systems; state equations and solutions

Control by linear feedback of state variables, properties and control by feedback of state.

Control of non-linear systems: behavior of non-linear systems, application examples; balance points; linearization, linearization by feedback and stability; direct LYapunov method, Lyaponov control functions and linearization by retroaction.

Teaching methods and learning activities

The syllabus provided will be treated in the lectures, which will introduce the relevant proposed concepts and demonstrate some of the results. In the lectures countless problems and application examples will also be solved.

Practical classes will be offering exercises and will give the necessary support to the students for their understanding and resolution. All learning objectives have direct correspondence with the programmed contents described, being the subject of work in different types of classes provided.
