Plant protection in different sustainable agriculture systems. Quarantine pests. Biodiversity in agriculture. Trophic relations in agriculture environment. Groups of pests. Plant protection national and international organisations
2. Entomology
Importance of insects; Insect morphology; Metamorphoses; Insect classification and identification

Teaching methods and learning activities

Lectures and workshops will altern – one week students have a 3,5 hour lecture and the other week students will have a 3,5 hour workshop. Workshps can be at the laboratory, at computers-lab or in the field or even study visits. In order to seek advantage of a good weather necessary for the practices in the field, there may be change in the schedule, however the total number of hours is respected

Evaluation Type

Distributed evaluation without final exam

Eligibility for exams

Any student can attempt the exam to obtain approval in discipline.

Calculation formula of final grade

Four assingments are proposed (T1, T2, T3 and T4). Final classification is calculated by the formula CF= 50%T1 + 15%T2 + 15%T3 + 20%T4. Any student can attempt the exam to obtain approval in discipline.

Examinations or Special Assignments

Students who want to improve their classification can attempt exam.
