My research interests are in the geometry of differential equations (also called dynamical systems), both on their own right and in applications to Biology in nerve impulse and in pattern formation. In the latter case I explore the way symmetry constrains the solutions of differential equations, using group theory. This I also use in my research in pure Mathematics.
I find it is very pleasant to do research that involves a mixture of different areas of Mathematics (Geometry, Analysis, Algebra) as well as other sciences.
