International Cooperation

The focus on internationalization is one of the development vectors of the University of Porto, evidenced by numerous international initiatives, in accordance with the University's Strategic Development Plan.

The establishment of cooperation protocols with universities from all over the world, the integration in several international inter-university cooperation networks and groups, and the active participation in a significant number of community education, training and research programs have been some of the international strategic objectives of U.Porto.

The mobility of students, teachers, researchers and non-teaching staff under cooperation agreements and community mobility programs and the participation in inter-university cooperation projects are U.Porto’ s priority lines of action, which contribute to the positioning of the University as an internationally recognized institution.

Another feature from the strong internationalization of U.Porto is the development of various actions for the academic and scientific mobility, within the framework of existing cooperation agreements with Universities from the Portuguese-Speaking Countries and from Latin American Countries.
