Inês Moreira is a curator, post-doctoral researcher and editor.

Holds a PhD degree in Curatorial Knowledge from Goldsmiths College, University of London, 2014; a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Culture from Metropolis, UPC/CCCB, Barcelona, 2004; graduated in Architecture [FAUP, Porto, 2001]. Her Post-doctoral research is affiliated to IHA/FCSH, New University of Lisbon, where she coordinates the new research cluster Curating the Contemporary.
Since 2014, guest Professor at Fine Art School, University of Porto, lecturing on Contemporary Culture and on Curatorial Studies an before, assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the same University.

Author and editor of books, articles and magazines. Co-editor of Jornal Arquitectos.
Active designer of spatial installations and display for exhibitions and cultural venues.

As a research/curator, I am interested on the epistemologies of curating, especially on strategies for curating space, on critiques of techno-culture, and, more generally, on contemporary urban and visual cultures.

Since a few years, I have been engaged with accidented architectures, built environments and other manmade territories (as post-industrial spaces), developing multidisciplinary projects through fieldwork, laboratorial research and publishing in both academic and cultural venues. The research has resulted in exhibitions, practical projects and editorial work.

I have worked with different national and international organizations: as programmer for Architecture at Guimarães 2012 – European Capital of Culture (2010-2012); as a consultant of Lab´Bel, the french laboratory of contemporary art (since 2010); as co-curator of Alternativa, the contemporary art festival of Gdansk (2012); as co-curator of the public art biennial of Bordeux, Evento 2009 (2009); as curator and producer at the Rectorate of University of Porto (since 2006); as office coordinator and juri at member at the Laboratory of Experimental Art of Institut of Art of the Ministery of Culture (2003-05).

As a practicing architect, I have designed exhibition displays and scenographies for curators, artists and institutions in France, Poland, Spain, and Portugal. And long ago, in the 20^th century, I was part of the teams of two architectural offices, EMBT - Enric Miralles Benedetta Tagliabue (Barcelona) and F. Távora and J.B. Távora (Porto).
