Objectives

Learn and use established ethicsal criteria of Conservation.


Identify strategies for conservation of contemporary art: concept of authorship, contemporary materialas and techniques, collaborative methods.

Discuss museum practices and newchallenges

 

Learning outcomes and competences

 

- to be able to interpret, explain and characterize issues related to contemporary art production from the point of view of its preservation.

- to be able to identity and analyse degradation factors

- Acnowledge the role of the artist in conservation of art works.

- to be able to produce a conservation report, including documentation of the work, identification of conservation problems, propose preventative conservation action.
