Mission:	The Department of Art and Design Sciences is responsible for: a) Teaching in FBAUP courses and in all courses in which it participates, whether granting a degree or not, with curricular units under the responsibility of the department; b) The scientific research in the area of Art and Design Sciences; c) The dissemination and valorization of research results; d) The provision of services abroad; e) The management of funds and other means made available by the Director.
Description:	The Department of Art and Design Sciences is included in the structure of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP) and contributes to the study, critical reflection and dissemination of themes and problems generically covered by fundamental research in Art and Design, as well as related themes, from a transdisciplinary perspective, being responsible for supporting the teaching and research staff assigned to their scientific area.
