A eCAADe (Association for Education and research in Computer Aided Architectural Design in Europe) promove o seu 1º Workshop Regional Internacional que terá lugar na Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto (FAUP), nos dias 4-5 de Abril de 2013. Esta iniciativa intitula-se "Future Traditions" e reunirá uma comunidade internacional de investigadores, estudantes e profissionais em torno do desafio de "repensar as tradições e a imaginar o futuro da Arquitectura através do uso de tecnologias digitais". Estruturado em sessões de Conferências e de Workshops, contam como Keynote Speakers com duas referências internacionais nesta área: ´ - Prof. Mark Burry, Director do Design Research Institute do RMIT (Austrália) e responsável pela introdução de tecnologias digitais nas obras do Templo da Sagrada Família em Barcelona / ref: http://youtu.be/pPdCIunpoH4 - Prof. Achim Menges, Director do Institut for Computational Design, da University of Stuttgart (Alemanha), e autor de vários projectos premiados internacionalmente pela inovação das suas formas e processos que recorrem, por exemplo, a construção robotizada / ref: http://www.achimmenges.net De acordo com o seguinte programa, este evento decorre na FAUP, mas contará com a sua sessão de abertura na Casa da Música, pelo que é uma oportunidade para os participantes visitarem duas das mais importantes obras de arquitectura da cidade do Porto. This initiative is named "FUTURE TRADITIONS" and will gather an international community of researchers, students and professionals around the challenge of "rethinking traditions and envisioning the future of architetcure through the use of digital technologies".
