Library
FAUP’s Library is integrated in the University of Porto libraries, and is dedicated to serve, not only, the scientific community and the University, but also the public in general. Specialized in Architecture, with special focus on Urbanism, Art and History, contains in its asset more than 30 000 monographic titles, and over 300 titles of serial publications, diverse media and cartographic documentation - also in digital formats. You can find all this organized in electronic catalogue catalogo.up.pt.
The Library activity focuses on the acquisition, collection, processing and dissemination of educational, scientific and cultural documentation, the support of the scientific-pedagogical activity and the promotion of educational processes. The development of synergies with other libraries or documentation organization (as well as scientific research, documentation recovery, cataloguing and conservation) has been, for years, a strong concern of the department.
