Program

The Curricular Unit of Methodology III brings together seminars, reflection sessions and discussion on the activities developed within the scope of the vocational training course at the sports training center (CTD). The weekly workload of the unit is eight hours. The teaching classes lasts 15 weeks during the semester, for a total of 75 classes planned. The students' work in the Methodology III - Athletics course is planned for 270 semester hours, which reach a value substantially higher than that established for the contact with the teacher, 30 theoretical hours and 90 practical hours in the semester. Distance learning, the search for information networks in the different fields of knowledge, contact with sports agents that reveal exceptional profiles in different areas of intervention and scientific research are highly valued training procedures encouraged throughout the training period. In this context, the students will be also trained by direct observation of coaching conducted by senior coach’s both in the field of training of children and young people as well as elite athletes, presenting afterwards a report and later discussion with all the students from the internship.
