Objectives

1. Raising awareness on the issue of rehabilitation and adapted physical activity;

2. Promote the acquisition of knowledge that enable students to work in the area of sport for people with disability, namely in regular schools, sport associations, teams, health units and other places;

Learning outcomes and competences

1. Knowing the fundamental parameters of disability and apply them in situations of direct intervention with people with Intellectual Disability (ID) and Autism Spectrum Disorders(ASD).

2. Develop skills of planning, organization and management of sporting events in the Adapted Sports.

Eligibility for exams

Theoretical and practical classes are required (the faults are subject to the General Rules for Evaluation of Faculty).

Calculation formula of final grade

Theoretical Component
- Distributed Evaluation: 1 written test + 1 written assignment with oral presentation (25%).
- Continuous assessment: attendance and participation in class (5%).

Practical Component
- Training Center I (30%)
- Training Centre II (30%)
- Organization and participation in activities promoted by the Office (10%).

Training centers:

In each of the training center students will be assessed as follows:
- Continuous Assessment of the Training Center - attendance and participation (10%)
- Practical intervention in the context of Training center (50%)
- Dossier (40%)
