Objectives
- Provide the students with the essential knowledge of the sport participation and performance.- Integrate and contextualize the specific knowledge of Theory and Methodology of Training in Basketball.
- Identify the long-term sport formation process of a basketball player.
- Acquire the necessary knowledge and competencies for planning, leading, controlling and evaluating the sport training in basketball.
Learning outcomes and competences
The importing and processing of contents derived from the Theory and Methodology of Sports Training, adapting them to the context of Basketball is achieved by a critical approach to these contents, combined with an analysis of sports performance in this sport, building goals and guidelines relevant to the structuring of the preparation process. These contents, combined with factors sports preparation in the long term, contribute to the goals of identifying the steps of a process of sports training in Basketball.

Calculation formula of final grade
Theoretical classes, seminar classes and practical sessions.
The evaluation consists in a practical and theoretical modules.
The theoretical module is evaluated through the average classification of one written tests. A minimum average of 9.5 values is needed for approve in this module.
Access to practical evaluation requires 75% of presences to classes. This module includes the following components:
(1) Individual dossier (ID);
(a) Group work (GW), presented as pedagogical practice to the peers.
(b) Individual work (IW), presented as pedagogical practice to the peers.
Final classification: 60% practical module, 40% theoretical module. In the practical module: 25% ID, 20% GW, 15% IW. Minimum grade of 9.5 is required for all tasks.
