Objectives

1. Provide students with the knowledge, experience and skills to teach all the different aspects of dance at school using a current, responsible and innovative approach;

2. Promote choreographic work for students of 2º, 3º cycles and secondary school;

3. Develop execution skills and choreography composition;

4. Promote and develop organizational, operational and participation skills necessary in delivering dance and expressive rhythmic activity performances.

Learning outcomes and competences

In accordance with the objectives set, we tried to create different learning mechanisms to allow students a maximum of experiences in teaching and learning content of dance. The practical experience of various contents taught enables the student to evaluate their real skills in the education area. All evaluation stages are looking to provide students with tools for their future educational intervention, skills developing in the transmission and demonstration, exploration and creation pedagogical workouts.

2. The structure of motor behavior in dance through the concepts of phrase movement;

3. Dance moves: Improvisation and composition;

4. Dance in schools;

5. Methodological approach to teaching and learning of dance in schools;

6.  Dance specific concepts and terminology;

7. Participation in a Dance performance.
