Objectives
To provide students with essential knowledge and core skills for the drawing up of scientific knowledge, particularly in what concerns to the expertise, decision making, observation and analysis of sports training and competition.
At the end of the course, it is intended that students are able:
- to understand main research questions about the relationship bamong perception, decision making and tactical actions in sport;
- to systematize the perceptual-cognitive skills underlying decision-making in sport;
- to know techniques and measures of perceptual-congitive assessment, in training and competition contexts.
Learning outcomes and competences
The program is committed to the discussion of scientific issues and debate of research problems, in order to develop skills that lead students to progress towards the specific challenges related to questions about the expertise, decision making and observation, both in sports training and competition settings.
Working method
Presencial

Teaching methods and learning activities
In parallel with the use of the lecture method, complemented with the employ of audiovisual media, some lessons focus on critical analysis and discussion of ideas. Besides several presentations that occur throughout the school year, the students must present and support a report contrasting the main methods and tools used in scientific research concerning expertise, decision making, training and match analysis in team sports
