Objectives
- To study different methodological proposals for the evaluation of physical and motor skills in a lifespan approach.
- To study different forms of construction of multivariate fitness profiles, their variability along the age and structure of their configurational invariance.
- Mapping aspects of the response of different exercise prescription programs and their dependence on genetic and environmental factors.
- Elaborate exercise programs that can be combined with active and healthy lifestyles in children, young people, young adults and in the elderly.
- Construct strategies of evaluation and intervention in different contexts.
Learning outcomes and competences
The theoretical framework and the understanding of different assessment and prescription methodologies allow the student to perceive the extent of the relationship between assessment and prescription and thus to acquire autonomy and capacity to construct, frame and support different types of exercise programs appropriate to each reality

Program
- Historical Perspective of the Concept of Physical Fitness
- Physical fitness from a perspective of health and sports performance
- Physical Fitness Assessment.
- Evaluation proposals for children and young people
- Evaluation proposals for young adults
- Evaluation proposals for elderly adults
- Exercise Prescription.
- Classic perspective (the physical capacities presented in isolation)
Current perspective (the physical capabilities presented in an integrated way)
- Demonstration of the coherence of the syllabus contents with the objectives of the curricular unit
Students should understand the differences / advantages of the physical assessment process for exercise prescription adapted to each age group and to different cases.
At the end of the curricular unit, the trainees must submit a proposal for planning, evaluation and exercise prescription appropriate to the different age groups
