The second cycle of studies in Public Health addresses the description and analysis of health problems with national special relevance, focusing on the study of etiological and intervention factors of an environmental, psychosocial, and biological nature.
The learning and application of epidemiology, biostatistics, and social science methods are considered in depth, promoting the interconnection of research and preventive and curative practices at the individual and collective levels.
The course is taught in English and is attended mainly by active health professionals from various regions and institutions in Portugal and The Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) to advance or enter the academic career or for professional development and updating.
