Specialization Programmes
The Integrated Master in Veterinary Medicine (IMVM) promotes the bidirectional mobility of its teaching staff and researchers to guarantee the highly qualified professionals with a global perspective, capable of addressing the challenges of animal and public health across different contexts, cultures, knowledge systems, and veterinary practices. The commitment to the specialization of IMVM staff is evidenced by the following:
- The Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Laboratory at ICBAS, under the coordination of MIMV faculty member Prof. João Mesquita, holds accreditation as an ECVM Training Centre by the European College of Veterinary Microbiology (https://ecvmicro.org/training-centers/).
- ICBAS, within the framework of the Iberian Consortium (ICBAS/UTAD/Unizar/ULE), Portugal–Spain, recognized by the European College of Veterinary Public Health, is accredited as a Residency Training Centre for the ECVPH Residency Programme (https://ecvph.org/residency-and-training).
