My research focuses on the psychology and neurobiology of vocal communication, music, and emotion.
I am interested in how we process vocal and musical emotions, how this depends on individual characteristics of the listener, and how it is affected by neurological and psychiatric disorders. I am also interested in the neurocognitive consequences of musical training, and in the role of sensorimotor brain areas in auditory and socio-emotional processes.
