Eligibility for exams

The students must have the minimum of 9.5 points in 20 at the global classification of the discipline.
Distributed evaluation includes forum participation, it is mandatory (30%), having mandatory tasks weekly or biweekly (deadlines indicated each class) and students must obtain the minimum of 8/20 points.
The final written individual exam represents 70%, and the student should get the minimum value of 8 values in 20.

The presence in class is mandatory according to the regulation in force in FPCEUP, existing mandatory tasks during class moments and not allowing the global absence at classes, since it is a theoretical-practical unit.

Regardless of the type of status, absence from classes with practical exercises and invited professionals may imply failure due to lack of practical component (without access to final exam).

Calculation formula of final grade

The final classification is the sum of the following tasks:
- 30% for individual written participation in the Moodle Forum
- 70% for final written individual exam

Examinations or Special Assignments

Individual participation in the Moodle Forum/chat.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

For special cases, students with special statute can decide to do a written individual work that substitutes the Moodle Forum written discussion. They must inform the teacher until one month after class beginning, according to information presented at Moodle platform. The essay must integrate and express the discussions/tasks occurred during the theoretical-practical classes, implying to be present at the classes with practical exercises

Classification improvement

The improvement of classification is done only on the final written exam (valuing 70%); the classification of Forum still the same. It is possible to improve the classification according to the regulation in force in FPCEUP.

Observations

The discipline uses Moodle platform.
