Objectives

The curricular unit Thesis – a total of 90 ECTS distributed across the 2^nd and 3^rd year – is aimed at developing research abilities in a particualr area of scientific knowledge in the field of human sexuality. The supervisors will help monitoring the preparation and writing of the doctoral thesis.

Learning outcomes and competences

It is expected that at the end of 3rd year, PhD students have completed their doctoral thesis in accordance with the thesis regulation.

Pre-requirements (prior knowledge) and co-requirements (common knowledge)

Approval on the Project Seminar is mandatory to register in the Thesis.

Program

The syllabus includes specific contents related to the research topic of each student thesis'. Scientific writing procedures and techniques, specifically associated with writing a thesis will also be addressed.

Teaching methods and learning activities

Tutorial guidance, normally on a weekly basis (each supervisor is assigned one hour of lecturing for each

doctoral student).

The submission of the doctoral thesis to a public jury is established in the rules of the PDSH.
