Objectives

The curricular unit aims to promote knowledge and competences in the field of sex education in school and and community contexts.

Learning outcomes and competences

Students should develop ...

- knowledge about the evolution of educational policies in this field and their consequences for intervention in school and community contexts,

 - critically sustained knowledge of the relationship between education and sexuality as a citizenship issue (vs. a problem),

- recognition of conceptual tensions (individual/collective, biological/psychosocial-cultural, prevention/empowerment, rights/needs, diversities/normativities …) in problematizing sex education,

- competences to design and analyse sex education projects taking participants' views as a central criteria
