Objectives

The digitization of society and social relations has a particular impact in the field of education, with an emphasis on the education of children and young people in the school and family context, but also in the field of adult education and life, in accompanying senior people and in the emancipation of disadvantaged or subordinate social groups. The curricular unit aims to contribute to the awareness of emerging transformations and the challenges arising from them, and to support the development of reference and action frameworks to educate and train in this new context

Learning outcomes:

Identify social changes resulting from the development and use of digital technologies

Relate digital technologies, personal and professional development and innovation in education and training

Discuss emerging difficulties, their origin and possible overcoming

Narrate and appreciate interesting experiences already carried out; projects, practices and policies

Question and propose education, information and training practices mediated by digital technologies

Eligibility for exams

 

The student obtains the frequency of the curricular unit if, having been regularly enrolled, he / she does not exceed the limit number of absences corresponding to 25% of the planned classes.

Calculation formula of final grade

The evaluation will be distributed with a final exam, having as components the presentation and discussion in the class of a reference text on the topics under study (20%) and the final elaboration of a literature review work (80%). All entries will be graded on a scale of 0 to 20.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

Students who by law are exempted from attending classes should contact the teachers of the course unit during the first 2 weeks of the semester to define the forms of support and follow-up required.

Classification improvement

The improvement of the classification implies the reformulation of the final work of literature review, classified on a scale of 0 to 20 values.
