Objectives

The Dissertation / Internship / Project UC tends to be organized according to the autonomous work of the students and a work in the modality of Seminar, in close articulation with the UC Thesis Supervision / Internship / Project.

In this sense, the UC aims to:
- provide a supervised experience of research, intervention, project design in the field of adult education and training;
- to produce theoretically and methodologically sustained contributions for the deepening of knowledge in adult education and training;
- to develop research, intervention and project design skills in the field of adult education and training

Learning outcomes and competences

The UC should enable students to develop as learning outcomes and competencies:

- ability to design and develop the process of completion of the master's dissertation / internship / project project;

- research, critically analyze and systematize pertinent information on theoretical and methodological frameworks in the area of adult education and training;

- elaborate a research or intervention project, anchored in scientific research methodologies;

- analyze and critically evaluate the data collected and the knowledge produced;

- present the various stages of the dissertation / internship / project development process in a structured, coherent, clear and well articulated way to allow communication.

1. Design, construction and development of an EFA research / intervention project
2. Identification of questions that guide the research, or of relevant problems in contexts of stage or that generate the development of a project,
3. Definition of theoretical-methodological framework and construction of data collection instruments
4. Field work - development and implementation of data collection processes
5. Construction of instruments for data analysis and analysis of data
6. Scientific writing and dissertation / internship / project report preparation

Calculation formula of final grade

The evaluation supposes the accomplishment of individual work (Dissertation / Report of Internship / Project) that participates with 100% for the FC. The Final Classification results from the deliberation of the jury of appreciation of the Dissertation / Report of Internship / Project Report, after its discussion in public examination.

Examinations or Special Assignments

The Regulation of the 2nd Cycles of the UP and the Regulation of the MEFA define that the non approval of the work of evaluation (Dissertation / Report of Internship / Project) implies the reinscription and accomplishment of new Research Dissertation /Internship Report/ Project Report

Internship work/project

INTERNSHIP
Students should be able to:
a) collaboratively conceive, organize, develop and evaluate actions and projets in the field of Adult
Education and Training;
b) mobilize relational competences and technical-scientific knowledge that facilitate the integration in
internship settings and in multidisciplinary work groups;
e) develop modes of action based on multidisciplinary cooperation anda multi-referential approach to
socio-educational problems;
d) apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the se in a competent, flexible and creative way by
demonstrating:
- autonomy, responsibility, intentionality in action and criticai positioning;
- creativity and ability to propose activities and methodologies that are context-appropriate in solving
problems and difficulties, recognizing the social and ethical implications of their intervention;
c) produce a final internship report based on a rigorous theoretical and ethical reflection that
articulates the contributions of their work to the host institutions and to the construction of
professionalization in the field of Adult Education and Training.

PROJECT
The project aims to enable the implementation of an intervention proposal in the professional field and must show:
- Expertise in the EFA field to enable the design, both conceptually and methodologically, of a proposal for intervention;
- Ability to create relational dynamics in professional contexts, including integration multiprofessional teams;
- Competences forthe development of the various stages of an intervention project in AE, including both its construction and the devices for its evaluation.
