Objectives

- Promote students' competencies and knowledge in the field of educational intervention, - Promote students' knowledge. 

Learning outcomes and competences

- Develop competencies to critically analyse various intervention methods, - Stimulate the reflection over the particularities of educational interventions in exclusion contexts and within discriminated groups.

I. The challenge of intervention in educational contexts. Context analysis, needs/resources assessment and project development and monitoring.
II. Typology of intervention methodologies - direct and indirect strategies;
- educational helping relationships,
- consultation/training.
III. Power and support as individual and societal resources:
- social support group, social capital;
- peer education, mentorship and self-help and support groups;
- power and individual, organizational and community empowerment.  
IV. Ehical challenges in educational, social and community interventions.. 
V. Analysis and discussion of intervention projects in diverse educational contexts.
