WORKSHOP OF WRITING AND SCIENTIFIC COMMUNICATION

 

This course aims to strengthen the 1st year students of MCED who opt for it in their abilities to scientific communication, written or oral.

Learning outcomes and competences

It is intended that students are able to:

Identify and use scientific writing rules

Identify correct and incorrect ways of scientific communication

Using the rules of scientific writing used in FPCEUP / MCED

Identify and use ethical principles of scientific communication

Use properly ways and means of scientific oral communication

Communicate orally results of reflections, reviews and scientific research

Write scientific texts according to academic standards and ethical principles

The calculation of the final classification includes the quality of participation in classes (20%), the written works presented (40%) and presentation of oral communications and their technical means (40%).
