Objectives
Students are expected to: identify types of oppression and discrimination associated with gender and sexuality in the aging process; Discuss strategies of subtle and internalized oppression and discrimination; Develop cultural awareness that allows them to understand and respect differences; Develop self-reflection and self-criticism about their personal values and how they affect their lives and their relationships with others. At the end of the course, students should be able to think critically about how categorization, and classifications on the basis of such stereotypes can lead to discrimination of the elderly in their total intersectionality

- Describes key concepts for the understanding of gender and sexualities
Identifies types of oppression and forms of discrimination based on age-related stereotypes, prejudices and discrimination in their intersectionality with gender and sexuality
Discuss strategies of oppression and discrimination that are camouflaged and / or internalized
It develops cultural awareness that allows for understanding and respect for differences
It develops self-reflection and self-criticism in order to know their personal values and how they affect their own life and their relationship with others
