Objectives
Deepening and problematizing the concepts of education / formation, community, development and social change and conceptions of democracy, human rights, citizenship and participation, aiming the construction by students of analytical frameworks critical and contextualized from the theoretical, methodological and ethical point of view, considered essential for equating participatory research and intervention processes and for the design and elaboration of research / internship projects within the field of "education, community (s) and social change"Learning outcomes and competences
The UC aims to promote in students the acquisition of knowledge that allows:
- Reflect on policies, programs, projects and practices of educational, social and community participation and intervention, taking into account the educational meanings, conceptions of community, development, social change, democracy, human rights and citizenship and their consequences;
- Analyze and problematize different socio-educational intervention processes, projects and strategies;
-Develop research and intervention processes attentive to the socio-political dimensions that surround and shape them and to the local and participatory construction of education / training dynamics and social change.
- Elaborate and implement education / training, intervention and mediation projects, anchored in participatory methodologies;

Teaching methods and learning activities
The development of the UC provides methodologies that involve the involvement of students in:
- Hours of contact - dialogic presentation, presentation and debate of different perspectives around central concepts of UC; Invitation to specialists and professionals with intervention in the domain area; Small group work - analysis of relevant research and intervention articles and projects and their presentation and discussion; Tutorial support.
- Autonomous work - research and analysis of relevant bibliography and research and intervention projects; Participation in scientific events; Identification of research lines to be developed; Contact with potential institutions for the internship; Preparation of an internship and / or research project.Software

Eligibility for exams
According to the Evaluation Regulation, students obtain attendance when attending 3/4 of the sessions actually held. Excepted are those students who, by law, are exempted from attending classes.Calculation formula of final grade
The evaluation will be distributed without final exam, with the presentation and discussion in the class of a proposal for a traineeship and / or research project (20%) and the final design of the project (80%) as components. Students who by law are exempt from attending classes should prepare the internship / dissertation project and proceed with their discussion with the UC professors.
