Objectives

This curricular unit has as main objective to develop the skills that work psychologists’ need for intervention. In this sense, the aim is that students are able to: 1. Understand and integrate in an approach to a specific situation the key concepts for intervention in work psychology. 2. Understanding the potential of developmental and transformative of the psychologist's work as part of an interdisciplinary approach to the real work. 3. Develop skills of critical analysis and decision making on the methodological and technical resources to the different intervention needs, their strengths and limitations, ethical and social responsibilities at stake.

Learning outcomes and competences

1. Ability to integrate different types of contributions;

2. Ability to organize with clarity, precision and coherence arguments and a justification of theoretical and methodological options;

3. Ability to produce original ideas and processes for addressing questions in analysis.

4. Self-criticism and understanding from the viewpoint of the interlocutors;

1. Analysis of the historical background that characterizes the evolution of concepts and assumptions underlying the analysis and transformation of work. 2. The centrality of the concept of activity in work psychology. 3 Virtues and challenges of joint research and intervention in the Health and Safety at Work examining the real work.

Teaching methods and learning activities

This curricular unit is organized into theoretical and practical classes that include: - exposition of theoretical frameworks; - presentation and discussion of case studies; - analysis and discussion of texts; - field work with guidance / mentoring; In the evaluation of the curricular unit are weighted the following components: a) presentation in the classroom an analysis of a text (work group); b) presentation in a classroom of the work activity studied in the field (work group); c) writing theoretical synthesis.

Eligibility for exams

Classes are subject to verification of attendance. Students who miss more than 25% of predicted classes will not be subject to assessment.

 

Calculation formula of final grade

In the evaluation of the curricular unit the following components are weighted:
a) classroom presentation of an analysis of a text (work group) - 20%;
b) classroom
presentation of a training plan for the studied work activity (work group) - 40%;
c) writing a theoretical synthesis - 40%.
The final classification is obtained by weighting the evaluation components outlined above.
The ratings in each of the components and the final classification will be communicated to students on a scale of 0 to 20.

Observations

Special situations concerning the evaluation will be discussed with the teaching team at the beginning of the UC.
