Objectives

The discipline aims that students will be able to: - Historically identify and understand the importance of emotions in Psychology and in the study of behavior - describe and understand different theories of emotions - describe and understand different domains where the emotions can be applied when we study the behavior - known and understand the main literature in the domain of emotions - read, think, write and communicate about the topic of emotions - do and present systematic reviews of the topic of emotions - develop the capacity of autonomous study

To understand the role of emotions within Psychology, and to understand their importance on behaviour’s study.

1. What is the emotion 1.1. Definition of emotion and differentiate emotion, felling and humor 1.2. History and description of the most importants theories of emotions 2.Psychology and emotions 2.1. Specificity and limites of the empirical study of emotions 2.2. The emotions in various domains: health (emotional inteligence, stress, burnout) and testimony (emotions and memory when describing a crime; emotions fields and expressed by victims, criminals and jurors).

Calculation formula of final grade

The final classification is the sum of the following parts: - 30% - oral presentation of a work done with a group of students - 70% - written final exam

Examinations or Special Assignments

Participate in the pratical classes and oral presentation of an work done with a group.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

Students with special statute must chose and decide if they want do an writen and individual work (that substitutes the oral group presentation).

Classification improvement

The improvement of classification is done only for the final exam; the classification of the work stills the same.
