Objectives



  • To orientate the individual completion of an original empirical or non-empirical research, in the domain of Psychology



  • To promote the gathering, critical analysis and systematization of relevant information about the theoretical and methodological frameworks in a specific domain of Psychology, in order to respond to an investigation question



  • To promote the elaboration of a research design, using the methodologies of data gathering and processing relevant for the objectives of the research



  • To develop the capacity to analyze and to discuss with rigor the results of the research, knowing its potentialities and limits.

Teaching methods and learning activities


  • Contact activities: tutorial orientation, presentation of works by students, formative and sommative evaluation of learnings.

  • Autonomous work: reading and text analysis; research work; bibliographical research; writing of a report


The report of approximately 15 pages on an original research project in Psychology is used as a component of evaluation, together with the meetings with the supervisor.
