Objectives

- to comprehend the development of thought and policies regarding poor people and poverty;
- to analyse the logics of policies and resources linked with interventions in the field of poverty;
- to contribute to the creation and development of research and intervention on poverty.

Program

1. theoretical perspectives on poverty;
2. poverty as a multidimensional and global problem: implications for the study and social intervention on poverty;
3. development and implementation of policies in the fields of poverty and social exclusion;
desenvolvimento e implementação de políticas no campo da pobreza (e exclusão social);
4. current debates and anti-poverty policies, namely in the EU;
5. opportunities and means to influence and implement initiatives on the war on poverty.
