Objectives
At the end of the semester, students should:
know, both theoretically and operationally, a series of phenomena with direct relevance to the fiels of organisational, social, and work psychology, including social mobility and social change, power relations between individuals and between groups, communication, and bargaining and negotiation.
be able to think about the sicentific production of social psychology in terms ranging from the meta-theory to the practical implications of theory and research, with an emphasis on the scientific production conducted since the 1970s

Teaching methods and learning activities
in the course ogf the semester students, and besides attending theoretical courses, students should conduct bibliographical research on one of the proposed topics of the program in order to make a presention of one chapter with a review of literature in the class.
groups of 3-5 students should conduct a research mini-project about a topic of their choice among relevant social issues.
students should participate creatively in case studies (including the preparation of the cases) and in simulations of negotiation and conflict resolution situations.

Calculation formula of final grade
The final classification will be computed as the sum of the 4 components of evaluation mentioned above (cf. "Obtenção de Frequência")
Examinations or Special Assignments
Students with a special status (working students, high-competition athletes, etc.) may chose to respond to a written exam that will focus on all the topics of the program and will correspond to 100% of the final grade. In this case, students must announce their intention at the beginning of the semester.
